In Response To: Re: *doesn't resist temptation of debate* (dual) Hey guys, I'm kind of a lurker on these forums, but thought I'd pipe in with my own two cents on this one: My experiences with religeon have always been from a pretty narrow minded point of view: "Our way is right, we are the chosen, everybody else is gonna burn in hell, but we gotta feel sorry for them." Due to that stigma, I'm personally over the practicing of organized religion. However, there are always people who will rally around a leader who tells them they are better than everyone else, whether the justification is due to race, secularism, religion, or even some meaningless, contrived classification. That's what I was exposed to in my religion, but it's something that exists in some form in all organizations, and I probably shouldn't let it bother me as much as I do. And when you realize that all modern science can really say is "We have a pretty good idea of whats going on, but are totally confused by some very important details" then belief in the mystical and spiritual seems a little less rediculous.
