In Response To: Re: W'rkncacnter and timelines (Forrest of B.org)

: Departing from strict canon for a moment, the interpretation of the
: W'rkncacnter that I took in Eternal is that they still perceive time the
: way all other beings do, they just have [...] a built-in time
: machine.

: But the great thing about multilinear time is that you can't unmake a
: timeline you don't like; all you can do is go back and make a different
: one. So you can always find a timeline where nothing bad happens, if you
: try hard enough, and nobody in those bad timelines can unmake that new
: nice timeline of yours; they can just re-branch another timeline where you
: failed.

Then couldn’t a free W’rk go back in time and maneuver itself into Infinity’s end timeline? Or is that kind of interaction between timelines not possible in your model? A duplicate timeline, then?

This raises another question: do the W’rk in alternate timelines share a collective consciousness? That could explain the it/them confusion in some of the terminals.

Sometimes I think too much.
