Ok I see why everyone is visiting that switch. It's just to raise the north half of the shaft so as to get into the hallway leading to the exit. But you don't really need that platform extended. That is a fairly easy jump over to that hallway. Even if you fall off, it is easy to retrace your steps to try again. Might we consider deleting that switch in the NW and forcing the player to jump across to that hallway? Just a thought.
