: Prevent the player from cheating by tabbing the elevator switch through the
: wall and skipping the underground passage.

Yes, that did come in handy. I discovered that quite by accident. When I was playing this level for the first time, I had not discovered the stairways that led upward to the next floor. Thus, not knowing what to do and not wanting to drop down below if possible, I started tabbing walls thinking their might be a door somewhere. That's how I found that switch. By all means, let's fix that.

: Add a 1x health charger to the corridors immediately after the first pass
: through the elevator shaft. It's extremely hard to avoid damage while
: fighting flying Beetles in such a small space, and the player deserves a
: recharge before having to face the very powerful monsters near the end of
: the level- a golden Beast and an exploding Beetle that will kill you at
: less than 1x health.

All I can say about this is Bless you Mark, Bless you :) A recharger would be most welcome. Actually, before I get too excited, you do mean a recharge station and not just a 1x canister right?

: Change the switch that raises part of the shaft to raise the entire shaft.
: This prevents the player from falling back into the beginning of the level
: and getting trapped; it also provides a bit more space to use when
: clearing the next room.

Ok, you've lost me here. Where are you talking about getting trapped? If the player falls back into the beginning of the level, can't they just retrace their steps?

: Prevent the exit teleporter and pattern buffer from interfering with each
: other. My new idea for this is that the exit teleporter should be a yellow
: block similar to the ones on G3 Sunbathing, to remove any possible lack of
: recognition later on while the time limit is in effect. This block would
: be placed off to the side of the teleporter, so it is always the player's
: conscious decision to step into it.

I like Steve's idea. Put a PB in the hallway before the exit room. Make the entire floor in the final room an exit poly and yellow like G3.
