I raised this and other issues on Acendant Justice in the user : comments to their article. Onyx should not have been mentioned. Funny thing is Eric Nylund wrote both GoO and Genesis, so it really shouldn't be a case of being completely unaware or not delving into the material very much. I believe Nylund is also the only one to have ever described slip-space in any amount of detail either. Have to figure there is either an unsaid reason, another interpretation or a few retcons involved then.
