In Response To: Re: I think you're right, they don't work. (Bry) : For all we know, infection forms (and certainly the Flood Super Cell) are too : small to be affected by the Halo blast. By the H3 terminal accounts, it : would seem only the larger infected forms are disabled. Bry's right, the Terminals are not conclusive. Offensive Bias comments that Mendicant Bias' fleet was left adrift, and that's about it. I suppose on one hand, we're back to the dicussion about how much does the Halos kill? Based on the presence of Flood 100,000 years after the original Halo events, it doesn't do a 100% job. Keep in mind, anything inferred from the Terminals could be WRONG... it was 100,000 years ago, and even then the Forerunners couldn't have a complete understanding of the Flood. *Potential Watchmen spoils* On a side note, this whole discussion feels like we're getting into the realm of Watchmen's final scenes, where Ozymandias asks Dr. Manhattan if what he did was right. For those that saw the movie only, this scene is summed up by Silk Spectre II telling Night Owl II that John (Dr. Manhattan) would say 'Nothing ever ends.' As Rorshach is wont to say, 'hurm...' I think what I'm trying to say here, is that suddenly for me at least, Halo has gotten into some pretty deep territory regarding the nature of the universe and human life.
