So when you were resurrected as a cyborg, instead of the common, easily-manufactured chips, they stuck one-of-a-kind (or at least close to that) Jjaro bits they scavenged from Onicis into your brain, and possibly made your body out of Jjaro hardware too. Some time passes, you get a job on a colony ship, and then the Marathon games happen. The rest of my ramble was providing evidence and exploring the ramifications of this.
(the "but I can't quite remember" was equal parts me being pretty sure I had something else to say, but not remembering it, and leaving it open-ended for when I thought of something else to add.)
