: when viewed as it is on the Marathon timeline , where (except for the two
: very-distant-future events mentioned a bit later), the sack of the Pfhor
: system and the arrival of Leela's warning as the last things that happen
: in the story.

Assuming, of course, that any of it still happened after Infinity changed the timeline.

Blake and his crew were all captured by the Pfhor and sent into the slave tanks; they didn't get back to Earth in a stolen Pfhor ship for the humans to reverse-engineer. The only way Earth can even have FTL now is if the S'pht'Kr reach out to them, and it's unclear whether they have any reason to do so (again, Blake and his men are out of the picture, and the free S'pht who fought with Blake and his men and would have informed the 'Kr about their attempted contribution were made insane by Tycho's weapon).

The S'pht'Kr may have sacked the Pfhor homeworld on their own, or they may have just buggered off back to wherever they'd been living in isolation. It's not really made clear.
