Not to mention you don't see a green dot on : yer radar for yer buddy... nope, it's red. When you are in the hill and : can't see who's coming but it's a red dot... sure, you fire a rocket... : can you apologize to your teammate? nope, no communication... can he let : you know he's coming next time? nope, NO COMMUNICATION.... First off it would be harder had they not communicated...but 2nd its NOT that hard. Where you guys on opposite screens? Cause then its a lil harder and I could see what your talking about, but these people were on the SAME screen. Believe me its pretty easy to see your friend is i the hill or that your friend is comign in when hes on the same screen as you. Even if he wasn't its really not hard at all to win. If you had difficulty teaming up, I think that says soemthign right there. : My friend and I pulled it off... but BARELY. My friend had 1st place with : over a minute and 45 sec. more time than I had... and I was mere seconds : ahead of third... so, tell me if it worked out that great... not really. I : managed to get most of my time by myself and my teammate REALLY got his by : himself. You say you managed to get "most" of your time by yourself, that means you got some amoutn of time because you got help. : We killed each other repeatedly because we just didn't know who it was. Umm...its supposed to be a FFA : Like I said.. if anyone pulled this off... they are masterful and : communication without communication, or they have ESP... Like I said before, its not hard at all. Even if you don't have the same screen, its not hard. : Bungie encouraged it, many practiced it in very obvious ways... and if : someone didn't do it and got beat... then it sucks to be them. Yea, they did encourage it, they also encouraged a lot of other stupid stuff (IMO). It sucks to be us, but we won't make the same mistake again. We have learned. : Oh, and it is NOT cheating. The rules say you can't communicate, it says : nothing of alliances before the game starts. Ok, so technically its not cheating, according to the rules. But who are you kidding, if you need a rule to tell you that teaming up in a FFA is wrong than nothing I can say will change your mind. : Also, nowhere in the game settings for BG KOTH does it say you have to kill : your opponents... so if I don't wanna shoot someone, I don't have to. I : think it would be more "cheating" (remember, it isn't based on : the rules) in slayer or sniper, since you HAVE to kill to win and someone : could just kill themselves with their teammate to drive up the score... : instead of hunting as a pack. It is cheating...does it give you an unfair advantage over everyoen else becasue you and your friend are teaming up? Yes, so unfair advantage = cheating. I thought about your 2nd statement as well, but that cheating on the sniper match was impossible. Maybe you could get 1 or 2 kills taht way, but most of the time you would spawn way farther then someone, or someone else would kill you before you met up, or the macth would ened before you got to do anythign significant. : I can't believe someone would complain about this... if it were in the rules, : I would understand... but it isn't, and there is nothing stopping anyone : from doing it. I can't believe there are people who think its right. Well, actually now I can, since I've seen them do it. There is nothign stopping you thats right, except I dunno something like we have: honor, pride. We wanted to win fair, if we had teamed up there is no doubt we would have placed 1st and 2nd instead of 2nd and 3rd. Unfortunately, we will not make the same mistake again. "Fool us once, shame on you. Fool us twice shame on us". It's sad that we will have to revert to the very thing we hate so much, but we are forced to. In any future FFA tournament we will have to team up, simply because everyone else will. I'm not trying to justify it, not at all, but it will be done. Sucks. Elan Sleazbagano<---
