What's weird is that you did the same thing over at the marathon story forum. Not the same vitriolic reaction, of course, but THIS IS the Halo forum :-) I certainly hope you didn't expect to come in here and get all sorts of hugs from people as you stomped on their favorite game at the moment. I'm just glad you didn't mention the Xbox thing you said back then. :-) In your line above: "Isn't it fun to vent our anger at what we can't see, aren't we better for it?" are you talking about yourself or the folks that responded? Just curious. I don't agree with your thread-starter message... especially not in the tone you use. I'd use the sheer volume of posts both here and the Halo story page and in other forums pouring over the little bits of information that is present in Halo as a good counter to suggest that Halo is lacking in depth and story, but I'm sure we'd get into an issue of subjectivity. I certainly do agree that the tone in Halo is very somber, at times intensely so, but I blame Mr. Staten. :) http://carnage.bungie.org/haloforum/halo.forum.pl?read=82872 You're not happy with it, which is a shame.
