In Response To: Rants about Halo's story (Spoilers) (Alfred Mordeir) : Level 10 the Maw: We did it, we Finally did it, us maniacs, we blew it up,

Well you save the human colonies, and yes, even the Covenant's sorry rear. Seriously though... In the final scene, there is some uneasiness in the dialogue between Cortana and MC, Cortana attempting to justify the final outcome and arguably the entire unfolding of events. MC receives Cortana's words with silence (signifying on his part that she's niether right nor wrong, both right and wrong). His lack of agreement causes her to raise the pitch of her voice in attempt to lend some closure to Halo---"We had to do what we had to!!" It's over." In MC's silence and final disagreement, I can see all the points of failures and questions running through MC's head -- the loss of every fine Marine, the loss of the best fleet commander, being duped into activating Halo, having no final answer to many questions... this is, while not disturbing, at least perplexing AFA meaningfullness goes, quite the opposite feeling of what Hollywood gives you.=-/
