Do you enjoy the series of
: "Aliens" movies. I think the situation you've described above is
: very similar to the first three movies.
: *movie spoilers*
: movie 1: Ship is wiped out when alien lifeform is brought onboard. Main
: character lives but will die eventualy.
: movie 2: Main character returns to planet where every colonist but one dies
: as. Four people survive but all of them die in the sequel.
: movie 3: Every prisoner in an outpost dies except one. Main character dies.
: Misguided government collects Alien DNA and begins experimentation.
Those are different, the plots of all of those stories present the problem in the begining of the Movie, and they all work toward the solution. In Halo the problem is presented, and we begin working toward it, until the middle of the game when a new problem comes forth and completely breaks everything apart, and in the end everybody dies, and nobody's happy, and the origonal problem is completely untouched. Also, the Alien movies are more Character based. We all care about Ripley and her gang more than Humanity in general.
Halo is more bases its self more on the plight of Humanity more than that of MC and Cortana. This gives the game a cold and impersonal effect.
