In Response To: Exactly what I wanted to hear Matt! (XNOR) : Those of you that felt the urge to 'put me in my place' by stating its absurd

You know, if you really didn't want to feel left out you could buy an Xbox. The tension here is that Bungie is being asked to satisfy two groups of fans: those who have bought an Xbox and those who haven't. The tension between these two groups of fans is the source of most all of the tension I've witnessed on this forum. And it's understandable, at this time, that xbox players be given the stuff they want now, and interviews with artists are cool and appropriate. Why would Bungie (or Microsoft) suddenly start talking about cool features that are being implemented in the PC version when there are still piles of xboxes and xbox Halo games to sell? From a marketing point of view, it would be idiotic for them to do so. I'll probably buy Halo again when it comes out on a Mac if they do implement PC-only features--I like the game that much. I believe that the PC-only features are at the heart of what the PC gamers want to hear about, so that their decision not to buy an Xbox is can be better justified. That's understandable, too. But I'm not going to blame Bungie for not marketing (which is essentially Matt's job) the PC version while the xbox campaign is in full swing. Let's be realistic. Gorehead |
