I always thought though, that prior to the Xbox version/release of Halo, that there was a partial working PC/Mac version? I know well before Xbox came out that Halo was being worked on for the PC/Mac. Was the initial work of that trashed when MS took it over for Xbox? I can't see that you guys would be starting from scratch for the PC/Mac release? Glad to hear that we "may" get the PC/Mac version this year though. Damn, I've been waiting for it for over a year, when it was rumored to be released back in March of 2000 I think. Akira : We are. Every day. : I've said this before, on more than one occasion: I won't do a PC Halo Update : until I can say something interesting. If you ever thought some of the old : Halo Updates were a little stingy with info, imagine how you'd feel : reading "We had some more meetings this week, and we're still looking : into the video card thing" every Friday. When the time comes when I : can say something, I will. : You have to understand: this is a major project, not something we can crap : out in six weeks. There are many questions that still don't have answers : yet. We're farther along than we used to be, but we're well shy of the : point where we feel comfortable talking about what PC Halo will be. So we : keep quiet because at least that way we don't say anything we regret : later. : I know it's difficult, but try to avoid reading too much into our current : silence on the subject, and ignore the bigmouths and pundits who pronounce : PC Halo dead "because Microsoft will never let it happen." : Because despite our sometimes unnerving silence, and all the hostile : rumors generated by people who don't like us, we're still working on this : game .
