Switching back to all non-English* might have seemed a simple enough move after Reach, but by changing the sound effects for the grunts and elites (in particular) they've lost all character. The grunts no longer ‘chatter’ — they've lost their hapless, almost-cute vibe and are now just small, uninteresting targets. The elites have had some sort of personality sanitisation too; whether it was in English* or Sangheili or whatever, they always had a range of tones of voice they used in different situations. Particularly if they spotted you when previously hidden, or you burst out of cover in close proximity. Instead we get ‘wort wort wort’ again, as if that's some sort of phrase for all occasions.

*Or whatever your localised language is.
