In Response To: A Brief History of Halo: Mantle (Urban Reflex)

: II. Galactic Expansion

: During an expedition to a planet at the edge of the galaxy, humanity
: discovered a being trapped within an ancient stasis capsule. Upon
: returning with it to Charum Hakkor, the captive was then plied with
: questions by the researchers. It's answers were vague, and unhelpful,
: leaving humanity to only guess at the creature's origin or purpose.

Excellent synopsis of the forerunner story so far. I hope you are inviting of corrections because I just happened to reread this passage today. And the explanation on halopedia is incorrect.

The Captive was always on Charum Hakkor, buried in a stasis capsule. The humans found it while excavatingt. Their efforts to free the creature were unsuccessful, so they devised a method of communicating with it. After succeeding, what it told them so awful that they ceased communicating with it, and placed a San'Shyuum Time Bolt on top of the already timeless precursor stasis capsule and then placed the entire assembly within an arena on Charum Hakkor for all to see.

According to Cryptum, the pattern of events doesn't get revised in Primordium, or does it? I don't remember
