In a slayer match a kill : would be worth the most points and then you are awarded additional points : for the method. A kill could be ten points. Headshots, assassinations, : stickies could be plus fives. Kill streak, plus ten. Assists worth seven. : Whatever. If you played really bad but managed to get in a few extra : flourishes, the extra reward makes up for it. Better players will still : win by virtue of being better players. And since it will likely be tied : into whatever player investment system they build, it goes a long way : towards rewarding individual achievement in addition to team work. I see : no reason to assume there would be any more "hotshotting" than : there already is. Yeah, you also have to assume that any "point values" that we know or don't know right now are subject to change. I also would highly assume (on top of the assumption we're talking about) that 343 would be intelligent to leave the "point values" open-ended. Meaning that down the line, if they see a high number of griefing going on through these grenade/assassination medals and their respective bonus points, that they could tweak the point values to help squash that type of behavior. That's just my thought on this assumption that we're already discussing as if it were fact :-P
