That doesn't mean you couldn't introduce an extra layer that dealt out extra points for doing more impressive stuff.

I mean here is a crude, artificial example to demonstrate the point:
We play a match against each other and we each get 3 kills. However all three of my kills were assassinations, while all three of yours were rocket kills because you managed to get to them first because you spawned closer to them. Who is the better player?

I mean you can define 'better' in whatever way you want, but a kill-focused gametype does not have to be as simple as 'who got more kills.' Thats a 15+ year old gametype paradigm whose main strength is its simplicity to implement and established familiarity.

Could be, ya know, fun.
