Because, despite (or rather because of) all its compromises, the Weta Warthog is a real and functional vehicle they can take real data from.

After all, they say they don't do fictional stuff.

I would love to see the Weta Warthog go around the Top Gear test track some day with the Stig at the wheel, just for fun.
It wouldn't be the strangest thing to do a lap.
