In Response To: And therein lies your problem. (TCKaos) : Forza isn't a Halo game, it's a racing simulation. A simulation of actual : vehicles with extremely realistic handling. They have no actual physical : data to run off of in an attempt to recreate the warthog in such a way : that it wouldn't break the game. If one attempted to implement how the hog : handles in-game, you'd have a game breaker on your hands with absurd : controls in comparison to how an actual vehicle operating under realistic : physics would control. Simply making it a skin of another vehicle would be : a slap in the face to the purpose of the franchise. : Not only are we (the Halo community) not the target audience, but they'd have
I'm not sure how what I'm proposing is any different than when Team Ninja inserted a non-canonical Spartan into DOA4 a few years ago. Nobody expected DOA to suddenly have a FPS mode and that was a crossover done well. Game designers can make anything they want to work, work, assuming they have the time and resources to get it done. Suggesting they tweak the Forza engine to suit the Warthog would be absurd, obviously. So tweak the Warthog to work in the Forza engine, duh. If they're not targeting Halo fans overall anyway, it won't matter if it doesn't perform comparably to Halo. Maybe I'm just missing the point of staring at an object model while mulling tech specs, but this seems like a waste of time to me. Whatever.
