Funny how little things can change : someone's perception. I'm glad they didn't go with the Reach AR or pistol (wonder if fan input had anything to do with it?) but I agree the new ones do look like something from a mod. The perspective in first-person view looks particularly off, and the lack of detail kind of sticks out. I can only hope they'll improve them for the release version. Now, if only they changed the Marine armor colors to match those of the Marines in Reach's TPoA... No need to change the armor since the Marines in Reach were wearing sealed suit variants and the Marines in Combat Evolved aren't, but the coloration was the main thing that set them apart from the Army troopers (aside their different shoulder and knee guards, but I guess those can be variable as well). Overall, I don't really understand why they went with all-white/grey armor for Anniversary when even in the original game the Marines had dark brown armor on grey fatigues.
