In Response To: It doesn't look LARGE (scarab) : On a structure the size of Halo even features that are a 100 meters wide look : insignificant. So you expect the Halo to have little visible detail from : the distances that we see it from in space. : This ring could be something the size of a needler rifle with a cloud texture : on it. This. I'm not a fan of the new design at all, particularly due to the size/detail issue and the fact it looks like a Covenant structure as opposed to a Forerunner one. The original looked immense, mysterious and monolithic while the new design is crammed full of unnecessary detail, for no apparent reason other than the fact they can do it. The panels lining the sides are especially awkward-looking. They should've just stuck with a high-res version of the original design instead of completely redesigning one of the most iconic things in the game.
