I can see some of the Reach textures. I thought I'd come across the Halo textures and they were different than Halo 1's textures. OK, checked. The landforms, water and clouds are the same, though saved at a different point along the ring. The patterns repeat but the pattern doesn't start and stop as it did for Halo 1. The Reach one was redone (maybe from a large original file) because its clarity and richness of color has been enhanced. It's also larger. The inner surface segment in Reach is a file with the pixel dimensions 4096 x 256 while the old Halo 1 texture is 2048 x 128. The Reach texture is double the resolution of Halo 1 in this instance.
