(FoolsRun) : When Halo CE first came out, Cliff Blesinski commented that one of Halo's : strengths was "clarity of experience", saying that enemies : looked like "grape candy against contrasting backgrounds". In : other words, you knew what you were supposed to be looking at, and the : enemies were easy to track. Some of the "improved" environments : are so cluttered for no apparent reason that they may actually make the : game harder (and less enjoyable) to play. It's like every part of the : screen is competing for your attention and is screaming for you to look at it. Perhaps, but I wouldn't put textures in this category; unless there are shapes that exactly or almost exactly match, telling things apart in these kind of situations goes more by brightness and color (and you even mentioned color, typically the biggest factor in Halo games, which they haven't messed with too much overall for the enemies).
