Lol Erm...sound is extremely muffled in space, if you hear it at all (remember the o' motto for Alien 'In space, no one can hear you scream'?). In fact, hearing loud explosions and whatnot in just about every sci-fi cinematic is a big glaring error in reality that special effects guys ignore on purpose for 'drama/atmosphere'. Heck, I think the 'outter space' parts of LNoS, Condemned, and Anchor Seven are the first instances of sound being muffled/near non-existant like it is supposed to be that I know of.
