In Response To: Alright, slayer experts. (Beckx) : Leaving SWAT and Sniper aside for the moment, a big component of how awful I : am comes down to DMR v. DMR engagements (in DMR start games). While I'm : not great in Classic, Slayer, or Elite Slayer, I'm particularly bad in DMR : starts, so I'd be curious to hear tips from the experts. Disclaimer that I absolutely hate DMR slayer, although I am familiar with the techniques involved. The clotheslining technique is massively important when you're toe-to-toe, but use armor abilities and strategy to ensure you're never toe-to-toe. Download or forge a gym map, spend time making your aim ridiculous. A couple of hours every now and then in a gym makes a MASSIVE difference. Heck, just fire up extra controllers and get in some dummy practice. You can make your own challenge as your aim improves. Fire the jetpack randomly to make aiming difficult, drop in from above a building and try to take out the enemy in minimum possible time, do long distance 'nade practice, and so on. Back in the day, I would spend an hour or so every week with a second controller plugged in, and play Blood Gulch with a Sniper Rifle. Hop in the Hog, truck toward the target, spin as I jump out to fling me around for a little randomization, try to take out the dummy in the minimum possible time once line-of-sight is established. This led to a whole series of fights against a friend who did the same once he saw my results, and after a CTF game was stagnant for half an hour because neither team could break the other team's sniper, we'd catch a glimpse of each other taking the teleporter to mid-field, and jump and crouch and dance the left stick trying to shake off headshots as wet in Ultimate Sniper Combat. Incredibly difficult, incredibly rewarding.
