It had more range but less stopping power, making it : easier with the sword to kill shotgun users than it was in Halo 3. I doubt that. At ranges where it would've taken five or six shotgun blasts to kill someone in Halo 3, I got kills in two or three shots in the beta. Once the game comes out, I'm going to do some weapon tests to gather data for my review. One of the things I'll do is create a chart showing how many shots it takes for each incarnation of the shotgun to kill someone at a given range (I already have the data for the main trilogy).
