In Response To: Re: Am I the only one... (Aglor) : To seriously answer your question: I got sucked up into the Halo 3 : hype-machine and was severly let down, and it's not happening again. So, : I'm not impressed, especially until I see some gameplay footage. I suppose my post was mostly to make fun of the idea that an article like this could get anyone going if they were already apprehensive about getting hyped. It takes a lot to get excited and still not be let down even if expectations weren't met, but I assure you it's possible. I'm personally excited about the game Reach could be, but honestly, it could be a million things. I felt the same way for other games. But, to be explicit along the lines of your analogy, if you blow your load before you're in, all you'll have is a mess and someone laughing at you, and a whole lot of boring work ahead. But if you managed to hang on, it doesn't mean you weren't jazzed about the prospect of what was about to go down beforehand. Too far? Probably. Also, Cody, ...Awesome.
