In Response To: The first Halo web page with the first screenie. (Jester) Believe it or not, the Cortana letters. Reading them was like hearing from an old friend. And I actually wasnt all THAT excited about Halo until it became clear(?!) that the singleplayer was going to be somehow linked to the marathon saga... ... goosebumps. : When Bungie put up halo.bungie.com for the first, the BLAM! and Marathon : Story people went crazy, and I got there to see that first beautiful : screenshot. I stared for about five minutes, and then refreshed the page : 20 times to read all the Covenant quotes. : BLAM! fansite changed to h.b.org and what seems like a few days the later, : the vids started leaking. : Not that it hasn't been a rough road. Halo has definitely been downsized from : it's original concept, but I've come to accept the "reality" of : what Halo is rather than complaining about what Halo could have been.
