Missing cutscene and carnivorous flood | |

Maybe it's just the kind of thing that "other games" would do, but I wouldn't have minded seeing a short cutscene at some point, showing what happens to him. Either being Flood-infected, if you left him alive, or having the Flood pass up his corpse if you killed him. That at least would give you a clear indication of what you SHOULD have done (if there is such a thing). Or maybe it wouldn't. Actually, it's still unclear to me exactly how "dead" you have to be before the Flood don't get you. The games themselves are unclear on this, especially Cortana's quote in T&R where she refers to the Flood "gathering bodies" when all there is there is corpses. Are they being gathered for infection/reanimation? For food? When Cortana refers to stopping the Flood by killing their "food" does she mean hosts for infection, or flesh to be eaten as sustenance? And if the latter, how does that help, as many carnivores eat dead or cooked flesh? |
