In Response To: Re: Delta Halo (Stephen L. (SoundEffect)) I'm sure they knew there were seven rings, as evidenced on the mural, but they did not know where these rings were. When you first saw Halo, were you blinded by its majesty? This statement is asked during the Arbiter's trial, it seems as though none of the prophets had seen a Halo before and wanted to know what his first reaction was. Putting aside our sorrow, we renewed our faith in the prophecy that other rings would be found, and see how our faith has been rewarded. If they already knew where other rings were, they wouldn't need to capture 343 from the heretics. They wouldn't have had to apply "appropriate humility" to know that they needed the index had they been to another Halo. If they had already been to 3 other Halos previously, then what is so special about finding Delta Halo?
