In Response To: Halo Wikipedia entry improvement quastions (Peptuck) : Having become increasingly annoyed by the lack of factual information and the : number of assumptions and speculative ideas coonsidered fact in Halo's : Wikipedia entiries, I've started a personal initiative to correct these : mistakes and assumptions in the Wikipedia articles. Now, to that end, I'm : looking to distinguish between fact and fiction regarding Halo. : -In the Halo (megastructure) article, it makes mention of Delta Halo's gas : giant being called Substance. Is there anywhere in canon or a Bungie : interview that identifies this planet as such, or is this false? I suspect : it is. Yes, the name of the blue gas giant around which Installation 05 orbits is indeed called Substance. The name is derived for the texture backdrop of that graphic from the game files. Similarly, there was a graphic named Threshold and Basis in the Halo 1 files. Count that one as true. : -The articles say that "Delta Halo" is the official UNSC : designation for Installation 05. Considering I haven't seen anything : confirming this in any game or book, I'm thinking that this is an : assumption. yay or nay? The word "Delta" is a human military alphabet term. Maybe it's a translation of the Covenant's word designating the fourth mapped Halo ring (from their murals, they know there are seven) and the best human translation of "4th holy ring" came out Delta Halo. Not a definitive answer, but the best explanation that fits the available facts.
