(Ross Mills [subnova]) : http://enkidu.bungie.org/enkidu_g.html : Discuss It obviously yakes place before The Fall of Reach/First Strike and is about some little known action taking place relativly close to Reach. Here's my theory: the Lebanon is a patrol ship, possibly a small frigate such as Keyes's old vessel, the Iroquois. The Lebanon and it's crew encountered a lone Covenant frigate while near a desolate star system, includung the mentioned planet Frigid. The Lebanon was able to defeat the enemy frigate, though not without sustaining damage. The logs have been writen by the ships AI: Enkidu. I know this from things like 'Captain Mathers has initiated article 2 of the Cole Protocol and has ordered the crew to prepare to abandon the ship.' and 'As per Article 2, I am compacting myself in preparation for a hard transfer off-ship.' They look like they're to someone important or powerful(ie. SPARTAN or ODST) The UNSC has probably been anticipating a Covenant attack on Reach, just not this soon as this. The metel bieng mined may be a new material for making weapons(Bombs) or new ships. Or it could be materials for an attempt to create another ring like the Forruners did. I'll have to wait and see. As for the original post (Please allow me to introduce myself) I have no clue. I'm going to do a bit of research on the names and events mentioned there. Keep in mind, this only a THEORY.
