In Response To: New Enkidu - G... (Ross Mills [subnova]) First paragraph: Whomever we are, we didn't make it to the Pelicans in time, but that we did make it to the Hangar. So we're still onboard the ship, along with the skeleton crew and the captain, and we are expected to survive. (Note: Terminal locations given in Marathon 1 were usually indicative of where the player was.) Second paragraph: The Covenant's last-ditch boarding action did not prevent the Pelicans from launching. An artifact, likely Forerunner, has been discovered by the Covenant, and the discovery has possibly been relayed to another Covenant ship or fleet. I find it odd that there's a specific mention of the shape of the excavation; perhaps the artifact is a communication's device? Third paragraph: Dwarf-star system? Wait, I thought that we were in a binary star system! While it is likely that a binary star system would contain a dwarf star, it would not be labled as a dwarf star system because of that; also, the "primary" star would be the yellow/red giant star. Fourth & fifth paragraphs: Rescue isn't likely until the ship is noticed as being MIA and a search & rescue ship is sent. Also, Enkidu is off the ship--otherwise, he could relay his best wishes to the Captain, himself! Chances are, he's on one of the Pelicans. ~Socrates | |
