: -- Steve, densely Thanks, Steve. As it was said before, a brown dwarf is a dead or dying star. Used to be a major astronomy kid while growing up, and still am. Looking forward to the next come around by the Leonids (a meteor cluster) around I think... the November-December months. Back to dead a dying dwarfs, I remember there was a documentary of a dead star possibly orbitting a main sequence in a binary system. Every revolution would of course cause a wobble effect and also would cause the main sequence star to black out of space when seen by Earth- as it covers it up. I think it said you can't even see it (like a black hole) because it's fuel was so burnt up that it was a dead, cold mass in space.
