Speculation about jump starting Jupiter

"Not saying you're wrong, but some gas giants emit radiation as well. The planet Jupiter emits more heat than it absorbs from our sun. And Bungie
itself has called Threshold a gas giant, with a moon called Basis. Stars
don't have "moons", they have planets, asteroids, and comets.
Moon is a term generally reserved for satellites of planets."

You know, NASA once posted up a documentary on television years back on how Jupiter is cooling down. Now, the only reason why I remember this tidbit is because it itrigued me, and I once saw a movie back then about how a vessel had to "jump start" a gas giant because the normal sun was failing or something. I doubt this is probable, but if someone nuked Jupiter and "jump started" the fusion, we would have a star.

So, Jupiter could have been a star that failed to hit the critical fusion neccesary to radiate like our sun.
