Still, it would be interesting to have a binary system among us. I brought this to my friend, and he thought that it would screw up the orbits of all of the planets in the Solar System. I disagreed: The now "flaming" Jupiter would still have the same mass, and would still continue to orbit the Sun, like Earth and the other seven- minus Jupiter and Earth- (now eight, right?) planets. Only after several millenia will a notable mass difference could be detected, since stars radiate photons of light and radiation, but the mass difference would be small. *OT*
