I don't believe there is much wrong with the Manual text. The only discrepancy appears to be around the status of Durandal and Tycho. According to the Manual Tycho is 'destroyed' and Durandal is 'severely injured'. But on Bigger Guns Nearby, Leela tells us that both Durandal and Tycho are both 'disabled' and she herself is 'severely damage'.

Of course, we ourselves know this to be untrue since Durandal gets us off the Mirata and into the Maneuvering Pod in the most unorthodox manner (saving our life in the process) and then says:

"Ah, lucky you. I've found a new distraction. I am going to play with the Alien virtual parasites. I'll look you up when you arrive..."

This is a guy with a plan... a big plan! ;-)
