You see, you used the words "truly different". That would scare off any Hollywood director. They don't want different; They want a cookie-cutter action flick with a slightly original setting. (does it show that I don't like Hollywood movies any more?)

I think the only people that could pull off a Marathon movie that actually is good is Pixar.

And just to toss in my own IMHOs WRT this hypothetical MaraMovie: I don't think our cyborg should be the main character; it should be one of the BOBs.
