I read the first third or so of the Marathon movie script that's been lying around for a while, and I was so disappointed that I stopped reading these discussions. It was a long action flick with bad dialogue on the Marine's part and level names thrown into the lines to try to make it more tethered to the game.

Reading this thread (starting with Movie) has rekindled my interest -- and, more importantly, hope -- in the possibility of a good Marathon movie. Atmosphere should be a huge part of the movie; without it, it won't be the roaring success it deserves to be.
