Precisely. That is also my opinion. I had been planning, actually, to go back and remake some of Chapter 1 once I was done with my map for Mark 2. But that's not gonna happen in time for Mark 2, as my map(s) for Mark 2 are hardly begun (I'm finding it extremely difficult to work with the Pfhor texture set here; I often feel like I'm using a box of crayons. Everything is so bland, and yet colorful. I have grey walls, blue walls, orange walls, green walls, and purples walls, and some of them have pipes, and some look kinda like the sides of elevators and stuff. But thats not very much variety. My attempts at the map so far have ended up being just really colorful, yet bland. In fact, most of my mapmaking time has gone into my own little project (Goran, you may remember a year ago I was working on "Outlaw"; I've started it again).
So, yeah, I think every map needs remaking. Every last one. Except maybe level 10 (and, therefore, levels 20, 30, 40, and 50), and even then I think we need to add some enemies or something.
