Well personally I thought the textures were kick-arse, but everyone has their own opinion. Which brings me to a little story, and since this a story forum, what the heck eh?

Actually its not a story so much as a fable, that is a small story with a little message inside. I didn't write this fable, it was written a long time ago by someone who's name you ought to be able to guess. Anyway...

Once upon a time there lived and old man and a small boy. They owned a donkey and one morning the two of them set out bright and early to make the long trip to the market. So off they went. Being a kind old man he put the boy up on the back of the donkey. Shortly down the road they passed a farmer heading in the opposite direction. "What a spoilt little boy!" he cried as he went by, "Sitting up atop that donkey and forcing this poor old man to hobble along the dusty road." Upon hearing this the old man stopped, quickly lifted the boy off the donkey and mounted it himself. Before long they came upon a traveller, as he passed them he exclaimed "Oh, just look at that!" said the traveller dissaprovingly, "That wretched man would have such a small boy walk beneath him, tiring his tiny little legs." Feeling somewhat ashamed, the old man clambered down and so he and the boy walked upon the road leading the donkey behind them. The sun had barely moved in the sky when they came to a small stall on the side of the road, one of the merchents looked up and laughed loudly; "Those fools!" he bellowed, "They have an ass and yet it carries nothing!"
The old man and the boy were not long past the stall when they felt rather foolish and so the old man placed the boy on the back of the donkey before climbing upon it himself. They were not even half way upon their journey before they came to some workers in a field beside the road. "How disgraceful," said one of the workers, "That exhausted creature must carry both that lazy old man AND his boy."

Get the drift...?

: I've spent my entire goddamned life trying to measure up to other people's
: standards,
