In Response To: Earth and Taking/Breaking Prisoners (DuckofDoom) You know, Reach probably looked a lot like the Human homeworld to the Covenant. Lets take a look at what was on or around Reach: * Reach was supposedly one of the UNSC largest industrial bases. * It had 20 MAC platforms, like the ones around Earth. * On Reach were all sorts of Navy schools and training grounds * Also on Reach was one of ONI's largest bases. * Reach always had over 100 Human ships in system at any given time So to an outside observer Reach sure does look like a races homeworld, it had a ton of industry, a ton of training facilities, a ton of ships guarding it, quite possibly the first Super MAC platforms the Covenant had seen, and lest we forget, Reach was defended by the every "Demon" (Spartan II) that was still alive. Maybe the Prophets knew that Reach was not the Human homeworld, but its conceivable that they didn't share that with the Elites or any other lower race. So perhaps it would make sense for an Elite to say: "Where were you when we set fire to your planet?"
