"The terminating coordinates for the Covenant's impending operation was Sol. The Covenant were headed to Earth." Why send such a massive fleet? If it was just another Forerunner relic they were after, then the fleet would likely be small, like the Covenant that arrived at Halo. They may not have made the realization that it was Earth, specifically, but they knew a formidable human presence would be there. |
