That makes perfect sense to me!" : Shouldn't the Enforcers of the Prophets' Will have found Earth a bit earlier : unless they're massively incompetant (always a possibility) or rather : squeemish for a bunch of crusading zealots? It's clear that the Covenant knew Earth's location even before comming to Reach, as Cortana was able to intercept communications that were days old, in which they spoke of Earth. It seems to me, they needed the crystal shard from Reach BEFORE they could go to Earth. Perhaps the crystal activates something or is a map to it, something contained on Earth which is why they are reluctant to destroy our buildings and only landed in one place. So who says it DID take them a long time to find Earth? They could have known about it for a long time, but simply not had the crystal. And of course since they did not expect humans on Earth, what's the rush in getting there anyway?
