: Is the bug the fact that there are two narrow corridors leading off the main corridor but only one is blocked by a glue poly. So when the single Fighter at the end of corridor activates he should in theory trigger the others at the switch?
That's right, the fighter's alert should travel around the bend and wake up the switch guards. Having built several variants with Pfhorte, I've found that a key component is that the poly for the southern east-west hallway touches the glue poly. Glue, of course, stops sounds including monster alerts, but in this bug, the glue poly prevents the alert from reaching the other path down that hallway, toward the switch.
In one test, I split the hallway into two polys, and everybody wakes up then. So it's not a matter of not making it around the bend. In another, I took out the original glue but turned one of the light alcoves into a big glue poly, and that stopped the alert as well. Leaving the alcoves small and short does not trigger the bug: there are some short-circuits, including height restrictions, that discard the poly without stopping the alert.
