: Is it another sign of age? In part, almost certainly. For example, I have had
: mild Carpal Tunnel Syndrome for decades, and my hands and fingers just
: aren't as fast as they used to be, not by a long shot. If I am playing a
: game with a controller and that game has quicktime events (RE4 and RE5,
: for example), I have to get my wrist involved and do a kind of rapid
: "strum" just to be able to hit the button fast enough. You get
: old, and shit starts to fail.
: Also, another big factor is you probably do not have the time and interest
: you did back in the day to spend hundreds of hours a month playing
: Marathon, and if you do, I hope you are enjoying your retirement. ;)
I was sort of kidding with Hamish about the age. Although I am almost 60, I still get a high out of playing. There are some things I cannot do anymore. It's harder to sit and watch a vid film like I used to. I sometimes get nauseated when I watch. Funny, I don't seem to have that problem when I play. I still have the time to play like I used to, just not the passion I once had. But that's okay. I met my challenges with Marathon. I'll find others.
