Read through the transcripts on the story pages as well... I still think that in the context of this thread, not much of it is pertinent except for the fact that the Flood are intelligent and capable of repairing starships. I'm simply suggesting that the Flood may be able to survive the break-up of Halo which is why the forerunner saw fit to go the extra mile and design the ring to sterilize the galaxy and not just self-destruct
