Interesting point, which leads one to believe that 343GS was referring to the humans as the ones who were responsible for releasing the Flood in the first place. He said, "I would conjecture to say that the other species currently on this installation is responsible for releasing the Flood. They seem most persistent in their attempts to access restricted areas." Maybe 343GS thinks that you are some other form of Covenant (or something?) and not human.
