| Marathon Symbol | |

In Response To: A few random Halo questions and comments... (Liquidex) I was wondering about the Marathon symbol as well. I think there's 2 choices for why the symbol is in Halo. #1. It looks really cool and Bungie put it in to give all its fans cannon fodder for debate, speculation, etc. #2. It does actually have some significance in the story, and may be a connection in the storylines of the two games. If so, why would 2 ships have the same symbol? I had always thought that the symbol in Marathon was FOR the Marathon, but that would obviously be wrong. So, maybe the symbol is for the UESC/UNSC Navy. Like the US Air Force uses a stylized eagle for its symbol. Well, who knows. We probably won't figure it out anytime soon. | |
